Method Wilson , O.F.M.

Father Method Wilson
Order of Friars Minor

Father Method Wilson was born in Oconee, Illinois, on April 19, 1924, the son of Claude Wilson and Mary Worland. He was the second from the last of six siblings including Joe (died March 21, 1984), Charles P., Margaret (died Feb 19, 1935), and Rosemary Meyer.

He feels that his ordination was his most rememberable experience and was most gratified to serve as chaplain of the Poor Clares in Kokomo, Indiana, for many years. He is an avid golfer.

Information on the Boone branch of his family tree (including Daniel Boone) can be found by clicking on this link. Method is in the 10th generation of the tree displayed here. His ancestor, Patrick McAndrew, donated the land where Brother Adrian Wewer, the province architect, built his first church in America in 1863, St. Patrick's Church in Trowbridge, Illinois.
