Web pages directly located on the SHP site (www.TheFriars.org) are to be construed as private, copyrighted materials and, therefore, all restrictions and claims to copyright privileges by the site owner are to be respected.

Security

When utilizing the secure on-line sites, offices of the province use the encryption coding provided by a Verisign™ certificate (clicking on the Verisign™ logo can authenticate that page's secure status). When using capable browsers (such as Netscape Navigator, or MS Internet Explorer v.4+), transactions, communications and other data negotiated from that site, are protected from misuse (unauthorized access, loss, or alteration) by Secure Socket Layer's (SSL) encryption technology. (Some browsers may indicate a "secure page" by displaying a closed, locked padlock icon in the taskbar.)

Using this SSL technology, credit card information is transmitted in an encrypted format from your computer to the SHP office. Your privacy is protected since a third party is not used in these credit card transactions. Information sent in this encrypted format is used solely by SHP.
