The purpose of these archives are for acquisition, retention, arrangement, description, of records,
documents, letters, audio-visuals, diaries, photographs, memorabilia, etc. generated by the Friars
of the Province of the Sacred Heart to provide physical protection of the historical content and to
make them accessible to serious researchers, and
to make available to appraise and retrieve collections within the boundaries of the Sacred Heart
Province.
The Franciscan Province of the Sacred Heart Archives was designated the official repository for
all records generated by the Friars as stated in the decree of the General Definitorium on April 26,
1879 and carried out this decree at the first Chapter, July 2, 1879, when the first prelates assumed
office.
CHARGES
The charges listed below are for patrons outside the Franciscan Order:

Research fee $5.00 first hour, $2.50 for every hour there after

10¢ per photo copy

Postage is standard rate

Photographic services
If a patron would like a copy of a print a duplicate can be made from a negative, if a negative is
available. There are charges for this service. If a negative is not available, one can be made for a
fee and the negative will remain in the archives.
Costs for these services are passed on to the
patron as follows:

Copies can be made with the color printer using photographic paper. The costs for this service are:
